The play is based on the musical original quality of the ancient Greek text. The chorus and main characters are performed by two artists, an actor and a musician who is also an actress. Exploring the musical rhythm of Sophocles’ poetry, they both endeavour to reach its basic simplicity, able to reveal the original resonance of ancient Greek poetry. The verses of the chorus are chanted according to Sophocles strophic rhythm. A truly successful quest for authenticity.
