We come to life, grow up, reproduce and die, not necessarily in that order. This is the vision we have upon broaching the journey consisting of moments of birth and moments of death. The journey, a life ritual and a departure from the mother country, does not end upon arrival. Eventually, one may stroll eternally if not feeling entirely welcome. Similarly, coming back does not always mean the journey is over. The Pa’tothom Theatre works with young people from immigrant families who live in Barcelona’s deprived neighbourhood. This show came to life from their improvisations.
