Macbeth is on his way home, after winning a war waged for his king. As he rides over a moorland, he meets with three witches who foretell his accession to the throne. Lady Macbeth, his wife, even more ambitious than he is, urges him to murder Duncan, the reigning old king. So, Macbeth becomes king. But, no sooner have they seized power, than the two criminal accomplices are faced with rebellion and remorse. The actors’organic and visually powerful performance induces a reflection on Man and on his relationship to power.
