“Troades” is a show about the horror of war, told us by women standing beyond any political or economic point of view. The belligerent violence appears like bottomless abyss. Since the Troyan war to those of nowadays, wars and all their cruelty have accompanied Man in a delirium of destruction. Nevertheless, we keep thinking that armed conflicts could resolve problems.
“Troades” is a rigorous, pure and poetic tragedy. It takes place in a timeless dimension which creates a link between theater and social reality. It is dedicated to today’s war victims.
It is a chorus of voice, of works, experiences from different authors which proposes a multifaceted metaphor to speak about unfortunately too current a theme.
“You, Europeans, you’re slaughtering Africa and Asia” tell us the captive women. And the Gods around them say : “Go to war, you stupid mortals...You will all die !”
