From texts by Eric Emmanuel Schmidt and songs inherited from Fréhel, Piaf, Bourvil, Moreau..., this show presents both unexpected celebration and area where youth and wisdom search for expression by allowing to resort to humour. During these forty minutes of truths, confessions, and tenderness, deeped in some expressions of a past not so remote, the borders of generations vanish and give way to one’s plain and true humanity.
Be it suddenly springing, or elaborating for days, and even years, celebration is a purely human creation. Man arranges the show in his own image, personal and cultural ; when celebrating, he quivers with joy and restores the unity with himself and his brothers. Celebrations is thus productive of social bonds. The “Petits Poids” Company’s vocation (from France) is to allow young people – aged from 10 to 18 – to be in the right place in our society, to withdraw from their consumer’s habits by making the most of their creativity.
