The action takes place on the wasteland of a deserted mine, where the characters will come to wander and meet each other. At first Paul remembers being buried there under a ton of rocks; only the song "cherry time" comes to his mind. Then there's Étienne, an unemployed trade unionist, who buries in holes the words he can't say, and then Marie-Jeanne, his wife, who one morning at dawn began to follow him. Finally, Judith, who is here with Eric looking for a safe place for their lovemaking. Each of them, coming here alone, meets "Violette" who speaks little or no, returning only the words she has heard. The chance meeting will become the goal of their meetings, because Violette will become the ideal partner for their questioning, their projections, their dreams. It is around her that they will meet and communicate with each other.
The ambition of our show is to allow everyone, carried by the humour and tenderness of these characters, to recognise themselves and to find the words in themselves to say what sometimes suffocates and renders quiet.
