The Créarc goes back to a young audience show which was for years one of its main areas of work. Some remember "Myrtilles de Nathalie, Paulo l’ours Polaire, Mariage de Vanessa... ? This year, Fernand Garnier proposes a theatrical adaptation for the end of the year celebrations, the one of a major tale from the heritage of French fairy tales. Bluebeard occupies a central place in the work of Charles Perrault.
Alternating storytelling and theatrical acting the show restores the mythical temper of Bluebeard and at the same time turns the heroine's struggle for her life into a drama with a contemporary feel.
Summary :
"Once upon a time, there was a man who had beautiful houses... gold and silver tableware but who, unfortunately, had a blue beard. " Thus begins Perrault's tale. We know the rest. A widow had two daughters and Bluebeard proposed one of them. After a first refusal, the younger daughter accepted. And becoming Bluebeard's sixth or eighth wife, we don't know, she soon discovered her husband's terrible secret.
From the tale, Fernand Garnier makes a play in which we see how from fascination to horror the heroine rushes towards her loss. But thanks to her fierce will to live, with the help of her sister Anne, and the intervention of their two brothers, she escapes death.
A show full of suspense and twists and turns.
