It is the end of a love story and the revolt of a chaotic and criminal woman. This is the story of Medea, which comes to us from very far in the history of humanity, told by the great German writer and poet Heiner Müller.
Jason the Greek conqueror landed in Colchis to take possession of the rich Golden Fleece. Medea, the king's daughter, falls in love with him. For him she will betray her country and commit murders, including that of her own brother. On the run, the two lovers are chased out of the cities where they seek asylum. They get married and have two children.
But Jason is thirsty for power. When the king of Corinth offers him his daughter in marriage, he accepts. Medea takes revenge for this betrayal in the most terrible way... Alone on stage an actress plunges into this great tragedy.
